While we anxiously await the kickoff of our National Premier Soccer League season, we’re pleased to add Pittsburgh-area talent to the Men’s First Team roster, current Duquesne University (D1) captain, Ryan Landry.

This is Landry’s 2nd year in the NPSL after competing with Fort Pitt Regiment two summers ago.

“Landry is a very dynamic player that can bomb up and down the pitch as a fullback. He is very technical and will be one of the best fullbacks in our conference,” said former teammate and current Hotspurs Men’s First Team captain, Nicky Kolarac.

“Adding him to the roster will bring a different dynamic to the team. Plus, he’s not only a great player but a great leader and all-around team guy.”

Landy grew up playing for Arsenal FC where he was part of winning 6 State Championships. During that time, he also played with the Olympic Development Program (4 years), winning a Regional Championship, played for Region 1 ODP for 3 years, and played with Shaler High School, where he was named both an all WPIAL and All-State.

Currently, Landry is a graduate student at Duquense.

I take a lot of pride being born and raised in Pittsburgh,” said Landry. “The Hotspurs immediately caught my eye because I want to contribute to the love of the game of soccer in the city.”

The team is set to kick off their season on May 23rd in Erie during the Memorial Day Classic.
