Pittsburgh-area grown player, Lelia Hannaoui has joined the Women’s First Team for the upcoming 2021 season.

The Weirton, WV-native has previously played in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and Coach Tom Ovenden and Jordan Daloisioat Steel City FC.

“Leila trained last summer and continued to show how very technically sound and creative she is with the ball. She is just such an awesome personality and character to have on the squad again,” said coach Tom Ovenden.

Currently playing for Tiffin University (D2), Hannaoui was named to the GMAC All-Conference team in 2019. Previously, she played for Pittsburgh Football Club, PA West ODP, and has earned an opportunity to potentially play for the Moroccan Women’s National team.

“I want to play for the Hotspurs Women’s First Team to continue to get better and hopefully make others around me better.

I love the city of Pittsburgh and I think it is amazing that I have the wonderful opportunity to represent this awesome city and possibly inspire little girls that have dreams of playing a sport they love too,” shared Hannaoui.

“Also, I am looking forward to hearing Tommo’s accent (;)) and learning from all of the coaches!”

The Women’s First Team will play their home games at Founders Field in Cheswick this summer (May- July).
