North Site - The College Prep Phase (U15-U19)
College Prep Phase Boys & Girls Programs
In the College Prep Phase, an increased emphasis is placed upon collective problem solving – not teaching an individual player a solution to a problem, but teaching the squad how to discern and communicate game situations and creatively come to team solutions. The Steel City player is dominant, assertive, and connected... qualities that are valuable in future teams, as well as the classroom and workplace.
In addition to the on-field sessions, Steel City U15-U19 players have our community of support in sports performance, mental health, nutrition, and college recruitment.
As each player looks at their goals and aspirations, we aid in both the player and family in finding the right fit and level for their future – both on and off the pitch.

This is the entry level phase to the program.
In the College Prep Phase, an increased emphasis is placed upon collective problem solving -- not teaching an individual player a solution to a problem, but teaching the squad how to discern and communicate game situations and creatively come to team solutions. The Hotspurs player is resilient and adaptable, qualities that are valuable to college coaches (and serve the player well in the classroom as well.)
In addition to the on-field work, Hotspurs conducts the Player Enrichment Series giving the players tools to succeed in the classroom, be resilient in the face of the stresses of growing up, and, with our partnership with the NCSA, unparalleled support in college recruitment. The Hotspurs player and family are supported in choosing the right college for the individual, not just athletically, but academically and socially -- be it a nationally competitive Division I program or a regional Division III program.
