Arsenal Community Festivals: Soccer for Any U8-U12 Players
What is our club all about?
Let us show you.
We balance a competitive training environment with a fun love for the game. Come to a session and see for yourself.
WHEN: Friday, May 14 at 6pm-7:30pm
WHERE: Location below
A Festival is an Arsenal training session led by our coaches and with Arsenal players, that is also open to community clubs to join. The session is focused on small-sided games in a pressure-free environment that allows players to express themselves while meeting new friends through the game of soccer.
Great food, a fun atmosphere and several short, small-sided games that allow players the opportunity to play against multiple opponents on the same day. All of this while being supported by coaches who are enthusiastic to watch these young players perform and grow.
Players take a very individual and unique developmental path. No two players progress at the exact same rate. These festivals provide the potential for players of similar ability to be identified and grouped together during training and games.
One role of Arsenal FC of Pittsburgh is to grow soccer locally and to seek out community clubs who would like to provide their players with more training and playing opportunities.
Additionally it allows us to connect with local coaches and provide them with some developmental ideas.
Finally, because they’re fun. Kids love the opportunity to come out and play low pressure games!
Absolutely. We are always accepting players. Many community clubs have brought their players to our festivals and then had their players mix with Arsenal players of like ability. This has provided all with an enjoyable and more fulfilling day of soccer. Players who choose to join our club can do so with the assurance that they can also continue playing with their community team.
Watch this video for an example of what you and your child can expect when attending an Arsenal Community Soccer Festival. While most Community Festivals are open play and not a structured tournament, the idea of fun, goals and smiles remains present throughout.
Our mission is player development.
We are committed to teaching a sustainable, attractive style of soccer, one that enforces good habits from an early age and yields consistent results in latter years.
In the spirit of a true club, we aim to provide a home and an appropriate competitive level for any player who wants to play. We strive to improve our players rather than actively recruiting from neighboring clubs.
All players must register to participate.
COVID-19 safety protocols in place:
- Pre-screening using TeamSnap app
- Temperature checks upon arrival
- Masks worn at all times by coaching staff and spectators
- Masks worn by players when not in play
We’ve had countless players achieve their soccer dreams with us.
You can be next.
