We’re pleased to welcome Pittsburgh area-native Josie Valeri to the Pittsburgh Hotspurs (WPSL) Women’s First Team. 

Valeri currently is a sophomore playing at Point Park University.

“Josie is a spirited, young personality. And as a player, that same translates into her play,” said Coach Tom Ovenden. “She’s a solid attacking-minded fullback.”

The Seneca Valley high school grad played with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds as well as Century United in her senior year of high school. 

Josie Valeri“I’m am looking forward to improving my skill set as well as my tactical IQ getting out there with other top female athletes on the First Team.

 I am ready to gain more experience playing all summer long. A huge shout out to all the coaches that helped me better my game! I’m excited to play in the WPSL this year!” said Valeri. 

The Women’s First Team game schedule is yet to be released, however will include games at Founders Field May thru July.
