Returning for his 5th season in the NPSL, Lamine Balde has joined the inaugural Men’s First Team roster.

Balde was with the Fort Pitt Regiment for three seasons (2018, 2016, 2015), where he was the leading scorer for the Regiment in both 2015 and 2016. In 2017, Balde competed with Indy Eleven. While there he also trained with the 1st team (USL).

“Lamine brings a wealth of experience to the team. He’s a goalscorer predominantly, but his link-up play is excellent,” said Coach Tom Campbell. “I’m excited about the impact Lamine will have on the squad.”

Before joining the NPSL, Balde played at Bethany College (D3) and in his home country of Guinea with a semi-pro program.

“I was glad to see a team staying here in Pittsburgh. It’s important to keep driving and developing the game in Pittsburgh,” shared Balde who missed much of the 2018 NPSL season due to injury.

“I hope to bring some experience to the team having played with and against each of the teams the past few years. The competition is going to be tough. I look forward to getting out there with our team and competing this season.”

The Pittsburgh Hotspurs first game is May 25th in Erie against the Commodores. Tickets can be purchased here.
