We are pleased to announce, Bethany College (D3) senior, Mikel Ubeda to the Men’s First Team roster.

Ubeda, who is originally from Spain, competed last year with the Fort Pitt Regiment (NPSL). Before that, he played for Arenas Club, a historic Spanish club which was a founding member of La Liga, for 14 years; as well as Athletic Club, a professional club in Northern Spain.

“Mikel displayed a great balance of brains, brawn, and composure across both tryouts, “said Coach Tom Campbell. “He is combative, organizes well and finds excellent passes in the build-out phase of the game.”

“It was a great experience being in Pittsburgh last year with Fort Pitt,” said Ubeda. “There are really strong players around the Pittsburgh area.

I look forward to competing and helping grow soccer in Pittsburgh and in America.”
