Joining the Pittsburgh Hotspurs (WPSL) Women’s First Team is Pittsburgh-area-grown player, Taylor Bombalski. Taylor Bombalski

“Taylor is a solid, strong footballer who is savage on the field,” said Coach Tom Ovenden. “She is hard-working in everything she does, and truly just knows the game.”

In 2020, Bombalski became the Junior Varsity Girls Soccer Coach at her alma mater, Freeport Area High School. Is is also a Regional Referee in PA West from youth to Division I – III to USL Pro.

“I wanted to play for the First Team because I miss competing,” Bombalski shared. “Coaching and officiating soccer are all well, but it is different to actually play the game and I am excited to do that with the best in Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas.”

Bombalski attended Waynesburg University, where she earned Second-Team All-PAC Honors, and averaged two goals per season as a defender. 

Prior to that, she was a four-year letterman at Freeport Area High School. In 2010, she was captain and received the All-Section Award and Team Offensive MVP Award. Bombalski also previously played club at Northern Steel.
