Ethan Hackenberg, a greater Pittsburgh-area rising athlete, has joined the Men’s First Team roster.

Hackenberg is preparing to head to Valencia, Spain next season to play in Eture Sport Men’s Gap Year Program which gives athletes the opportunity to compete in the highest U19 level in Spain.

“Ethan is a very intelligent, versatile midfielder. He has a fantastic understanding and awareness of spaces on the pitch,” said Coach Tom Campbell. “I look forward to watching him develop even further with our squad.”

For the past three years, Hackenberg, who is from the Cranberry area, has played with the  Cleveland Internationals in their development academy. He has also competed with the Columbus Crew Academy.

“I want to play for Spurs to take my game to the next level and play with and against the best possible players in the area,” shared Hackenberg.

The Pittsburgh Hotspurs first game is May 25th in Erie against the Commodores. Season tickets can be purchased here.
