Kevin Stoffle, a Vienna, Austria native, has joined the inaugural roster for the Pittsburgh Hotspurs (NPSL).

Stoffle, who just graduated from Bluefield College (D2 NAIA), played with top Austrian youth clubs SV Stadlau and SV Schwechat, as well as the 1980 Wien before coming to the States.

“Kevin impressed everyone at the tryout.  His willingness to run the channels to open the pitch up was commendable and his hold up play was excellent,” said Coach Tom Campbell. “In regards to the values we want from our players, Kevin has them all in abundance. I’m excited to work with him!”

Stoffle has only visited Pittsburgh, but is looking forward to making it home for the summer before heading to St. Thomas University to continue playing and pursuing his Masters.

“I want to further myself as a player and wanted to play here in the US this summer while experiencing a new city,” shared Stoffle.”I visited Pittsburgh before and fell in love with it, and would love to be a part of building up a successful team in the NPSL. I believe that this team has a lot of potential and I am looking forward to what we can achieve together!”

The Pittsburgh Hotspurs first game is May 25th in Erie against the Commodores. Tickets can be purchased here.
